Privacy policy

Updated

This policy explains what information Day of the Dead for Pets (“we”, “us”), operated by Kemi (kemiweb), an independent developer, collects when you use dayofthedeadforpets.com, and what we do with it. Questions: support@dayofthedeadforpets.com.

1. Your pet photos and videos

AI preview and video. When you ask for an AI preview, the photo you choose is sent to our servers and to our AI processing provider, Kie.ai, which runs the image and video models (currently Google Gemini image models and Kling video models). They use it only to create your preview and video. Kie.ai deletes uploaded files within 72 hours.

  • We store your preview and video in private storage for 7 days, then delete them automatically. Please download your video before then.
  • We never publish your photo, preview or video, never use them as examples or for marketing, and never sell them.
  • Previews and videos are reachable only through long, random links that we give to you. Anyone you share such a link with can open it.
  • Please upload only photos of animals, without people.

Free classic card. The animated card further down the tool page is made entirely in your browser. For that card, your photo, your pet’s name and your message never leave your device.

2. Purchases

Payments are handled by Waffo (our merchant of record, which processes card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments and handles sales tax) or by PayPal. We receive your email address, the item purchased and the payment status, never your full card number. We keep order records as required for accounting and tax purposes.

3. Emails you send us

If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply and to help with follow-up requests. We delete correspondence we no longer need.

4. Technical data and cookies

  • Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, time) for security and to keep the site running.
  • Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • To prevent abuse of the free preview we use Cloudflare Turnstile and count previews per IP address for one day.
  • The tool page remembers your preview and purchase in your browser’s local storage so you can come back to them. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics, we will list it here.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site — Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Kie.ai and its model providers (AI generation), Waffo and PayPal (payments) — or when required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Email support@dayofthedeadforpets.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Purchases are for adults 18+.

8. Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
